Experiment in Stacking Astrophotography Images

I am going to do an experiment and see how stacking can improve an image. I plan to take one photo and process it then compare with 10 stacked images, 20, 40 and so on.

Process

Stack in Sequator – all settings on, reduce distortion effects complex, light pollution uneven, Merge 4 pixels off. Process in Siril, (color calibration, green noise extraction), then convert in Photopea to .png.

Let’s see how the images compare.

First Image – One Photo

One photo 60 second exposure, ISO 800

Ten Images Stacked

10 photos each 60 second exposure, ISO 800
20 photos each 60 seconds ISO 800
